In 2021, IRCC issued 114,431 ITAs, a record number, to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and PNP candidates. It surpassed the previous high of 107,350 established in 2020.
The tie-breaking rule was applied in the most recent draw on October 12, 2022, at 10.13 a.m. EST. Only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invites if more than one candidate had the minimal CRS score.
This was the 21st batch of Express Entry invites in 2022, and the 233rd overall.
According to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada, new Express Entry applications will be completed within the six-month standard. Candidates must submit their applications within 60 days.

Express Entry is an immigration system launched on January 1, 2015 by Canadian immigration authorities (IRCC) to manage skilled worker applications under Federal Economic programmes. This comprises the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canada Experience Class, and portions of Provincial Nomination Programs.
Stakeholders anticipate that a large number of invitations will be returned as Canada works toward its objective of 431,645 new permanent residents in 2022. After the start of all-program draws in July 2022, CRS scores will continue to decrease.
